Artisan Spotlight

Charlotte Artisan, Zin

She longs to be back home in Burma (now called Myamar) she misses her mother and family there. As she sews she leaves her mother on FaceTime most of the day. It makes her feel like her mother is there with her. Her eyes light up when she talks about the flowers and beautiful buddhist temples of her home country.

She took classes with the Make Welcome sewing group at Project 658 to perfect her sewing skills and English. She now is  independently running her seamstress business and helps support her family with  the money she earns making skirts for Empower For Hope.
