When you purchase a mask, we give away a mask to first responders who need them! We are coordinating with The Carolina Mask Project to distribute them to those most in need during the Covid19 crisis. Your donation also helps pay the artisans to make them in order to sustain their families during this trying time and allows us to replenish supplies as needed.

Our masks utilize leftover African print 100% cotton fabrics that we use for our products made locally in Charlotte NC. Each mask is made with 2 layers of protection with a internal pocket for a filter. Elastic is used for the earpieces and a twist tie is sewn into the nose to be able to better fit the mask to your face. Masks have been washed and dried after being made and placed in packaging. It is recommended to wash them again before use. In your pack, you will get either a variety of fabrics or all the same fabric. Our fabrics are very colorful and we cannot grant requests for specific or more masculine fabrics and will do our best to give you a variety in your selection. Your mask pack also includes No2 Cone filters for use in the filter pocket.

ALL MASKS WILL BE PORCH PICK UP FROM A SOUTH CHARLOTTE LOCATION -- MAILING IS NOT AN OPTION.

You will be emailed instructions of where and when to pick up your masks within a day of your order. Please contact us if you do not receive an email. After checking your spam folder, email christin@empowerforhope to coordinate pickup.

A Note About Our Masks: The personal use of masks can help protect your t-zone by reminding you to not touch your face which offers some protection when in the public and indoors. Personal use of cloth masks is important for everyone, especially for the at-risk population like the elderly or pregnant women as well as those who are immunocompromised. Individuals with respiratory or heart conditions may not be able to wear a mask. Please note that the cloth masks are not medical-grade PPE that is required in the hospital and emergency settings. While handcrafted masks are based on CDC & WHO guidelines, they are not recommended to prevent the spread of disease. Please refer to the CDC and WHO for more information.
